Systemic Risk

This is from my sister's facebook page. I thought it was funny.

SOCIALISM - You have two cows. The government takes one to give to someone else.

COMMUNISM - You have two cows. The government takes both and gives you the milk.

FASCISM - You have two cows. The government takes both and sells you the milk.

NAZISM - You have two cows. The government takes both and shoots you.

BUREAUCRACY - You have two cows. The government takes both, shoots one and pours the milk down the drain.

CAPITALISM - You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull.

ANARCHY - You steal your neighbour’s bull, and shoot the government.

  1. that got a laugh out of me :)

    it's rather sad, really...

  2. funny :)

I wonder what would happen to my cows in a perfect world.

  3. Dear Matt,
You are truly legit...your words and your melodies have touched more people more deeply than you can know. This doesn't have anything to do with this post, but I just thought you should know. I also have a random question...could you forsee you and your ridiculous band ever playing at a wedding? It would make it the best wedding ever.

  4. Hey the man with no name,
Thanks for the kind words. Email our booking address at for inquiries. TCC is not opposed to anything.

  5. hey Matt i kinda know this is off topic but i was wondering bc in the Bible, Ecclesiastes 12:5-7 says "Because all must go to their eternal home, and the mourners will go about the streets; before the silver cord is snapped, and the golden bowl is broken, and the pitcher is broken at the fountain, and the wheel broken at the cistern, and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the breath returns to God who gave it" Did you use that for influence to write the album TSC and use it for the title?

  6. Yes.

If you google some interviews, I think you'll find a more in depth response. :)

  7. I totally want you guys to play at my wedding too! Someday when I eventually get married :D.

  8. Haha Matt, I actually got a full sheet of these in my Government Class the otherday, and there were about twice as many, i'll have to see if i can find it and post the rest of them maybe

  9. We studied these in history a few months back. The major problem we discovered with them is that they assume everyone has two cows
